I'm cursed I swear!! ...down 3lbs

I lost 3 lbs!!!! YEAHH ME!! I know I should be so excited I lost 3 lbs and I am but I swear I have to be cursed or something. Every time I try to start a workout routine or get into a routine something screws it up this whole year it has been getting sick..well guess what.... IM SICK AGAIN... go figure right! I have a massive head cold and a sore throat. I can't breathe and I am so tired. Just walking up the few stairs at work I get winded. I hate this I didn't get to work out Sat. or Sun. because I just laid in bed I did eat normally though (well normal diet food) so don't think my 3 lbs drop was cuz I wasn't eating I was. So Today I feel even worse then the past two days so again tonight is a lay around sleepy day. My goal is to be ready to work out tomorrow and have the 3 days of rest. I hope it will get better from here. Its sushi Monday so I hope I can still make it to that but it will depend how I feel tonight after work. I just am so disappointed that I lost 3 days of working out! Someone was like still work out sweat out the cold I laughed I can even walk up a flight of stairs without being out of breath I wouldn't be able to do anything in the workout department. I want to get better faster not make myself worse!

Anyhow on a more happy note. As you know I have my first ever 5k coming up in May and I have started training for it well I want to show you guys my improvement so far!! Now remember I couldn't/never have ran before EVER!

I ran 7 mins straight did a 18 min mile with walking/running

I ran 8 mins straight did a 16 min mile with walking/running

Then I got sick!! Haven't ran in a few days BOO!  But I think I am doing good and slowly adding time and getting better I have 67 days left to run a whole 3 miles. I really want to run the whole thing without walking and finish in 30 mins but no more then 40mins(just in case I'm dying) for my 1st race I think a 10 min mile should be a good goal! The only problem I face is the pain I get in my shins and in my right foot when I run. My dad said he has some tricks so once I am better I see how they work!!
