One week finally down and 1.8lbs GONE!!!

Well as you all know my countdown calendar has begun it has been 7 full days and I'm doing ok. I have lost a total of 1.8 lbs and a total of 10 inches off my body. I updated my measurements page so you can see where I have improved so far. I do feel that I could be doing a lot better however it is a major improvement and a great start. I worked out 3x this week (Should have been more) and eat pretty well I did have Chinese General Tso chicken with white rice on Friday night but I did seem to hinder me, That was my bad meal of the week. I feel that it is good to not limit yourself from things you love or else you will go into a crave/binge mood on that food. NOT GOOD. I see the numbers on my calendar dropping and I hate/love it I love it because I'm getting closer but hate it because I don't have a lot of time left so serious time has begun. The calendar keeps my mind right and keeps me aware of what I'm doing.

My husband has even been inspired a little bit. He mentioned to me..that right he mentioned it... He said we should join Nutrisystem for a bit to see how it works...he did a little research which I have to look at and see if he was right but he said that it was around 260 dollars for a month of food per person...so that's 520 for both of us to do it and we spend about 120-130 dollars a week on food at the store...soo It would be similar if we try that! I was excited to hear him try to help...but I don't know about Nutrisystem I have to do My own research to see how it would work for me but yeah kinda exciting!

Today is Sushi Monday for us. I place we love does Half price sushi on Monday so we tend to go and eat a lot so today will be a test not to eat as much I normally eat like 5 rolls (bad rolls with fried stuff) so today I am determined to get my other favorite rolls the Boston and California rolls really good for you no fried anything just rice seaweed and avocado/cucumber and shrimp and crab. I will only get 3 rolls(they are a lot smaller them the other rolls. I just have to keep my mind in the right place!

The countdown has begun

Well as you know I mentioned I was going to Put in Bay this summer!!!! well... I made a countdown calendar for the event I got the idea from 2 places. First place was from the MTV show I used to be fat but theirs are so boring and lame but useful and effective but I saw a countdown calendar made by Robin, I follow her blog, and she has the cutest countdown book LOVE IT!! Her book made me want to make one!! So I did and today is the first day! I added some countdown widgets to he right so you can see how long I have to meet certain goals. But my main goal is to be 145-150 lbs by July 11th 2011 which is what my book in counting down to in my book. Here is page 1. It isn't nearly as cool as Robin's but it is still cool!!

I feel that today was a good start to my countdown. I ate really well today and I worked out. I ran... that's right I Ran. I ran longer then I ever have before. I ran for 4 mins straight.. haha sounds kinda lame but for me that's awesome I have never ran that long before. I have a 5k coming up in 80 days on May 14th and I will have to run 3miles so I have a lot of work to do!!!

Warm weather WHAT?!?!?

IT'S SOOOO WARM OUTSIDE!!! I know that some of you probably live in warmer states but I live in Ohio and it hasn't been over 35 degrees since November. So to have this nice warm weather which is topping out at a whopping 59 degrees YEAHHHH!! This warmer weather already makes me wanna get up and go outside and do stuff. Yesterday it was like 57 degrees and Tuesday it was 55 and I took my dogs for a long walk(which I will do again today) my one dog hasn't been walked outside since it started snowing she hates the snow! My other dog is still a puppy only 20 weeks old and she is to little to take outside in the cold for to long yet. These are my puppy BTW

(BTW for anyone who wants to yell at me for keeping my dogs inside and not taking them for walks or whatever needs to understand that I have two Miniature Pinschers and they are short haired dogs who don't weigh more then 10lbs. Plus the one time I did tried to take my older dog for a walk when it was cold and snowy she refused to even walk outside once I got her outside we walked 5 feet and she stopped in her tracks and would not move and shivered the whole time. We tried this on 3 separate occasions and all resulted in the same thing. But yesterday all the snow was melted it was warm and she pranced down the street like she owned it hahah anyway this is why they don't get walked in the winter.)

Now that I ranted and got off topic, I wanted to tell everyone that it was warmer and as I was walking my doggies I saw a guy and girl running and thought of a truly inspiring blog I follow called *Bitch Cakes* She is always running climbing anything and everything but I got so inspired to sign up for a local race this summer.(give myself time to train.) So I found four of them hahahah!! Gotta over achieve I always say.

The first race is May 14th it is the Rite Aid Cleveland Marathon for me it will be the Rite Aid Cleveland 5k there are a total of 5 different race including a full Marathon, half marathon, 10k, 5k, and kids race.

My second race will be June 5 this is the Lake Health Distance Classic 5k run/walk.

Third will be June 18th and this one is for Captains Charities( Captains are a city baseball team right by me.

And there may be a fourth not sure yet depends on if I go on vacation I might miss it cuz it lands on the one of the days I have my vacation on we will see but that on is July 10th and it is the Painesville Sunrise Run!

I'm so super excited to start training to run. It will be a struggle but a fun one.

Always has to happen to me!!

Well everyone Guess what...A few weeks ago our weight scale was acting funny and I told my husband to change the batteries(which I thought he did) the scale them seemed to working fine until I got on it this morning. I weighed myself and it said 182.8 lbs I was like excited at first then it sunk in that, that couldn't be possible considering yesterday I weighed 190.0 lbs How could I have lost 7.8 lbs in a day not possible. So I changed the batteries and weighed in again this time at 192.8 which is where I was on Thursday so whn I thought I lost 5.2lbs I didn't I'm Still at only 2-3lbs. WHYYY DOES THIS ALWAYS HAPPEN TO ME!!! I was soo excited I was down 5lbs now I'm back to where I was a few days ago soooo Depressing.

This kinda stuff gets me so discouraged. I know I shouldn't let it get to me but its hard not to so today I went shopping got some ingredients for some new recipes I am going to try but I'm still not feeling to great about the scale well tomorrow is a new day and maybe I will feel better about it!!

One good week down, 5lbs lost!!


Well this week has been ok I have been eating right 100% but haven't been exercising like I should be but I have to work myself into it. I had the best meal for dinner ever last night. A recipe that I found from my new blogging friends Recipe blog called Kitchen Adventures it is the 3rd recipe down, called baked Salmon. YUMO!! I face obstacles everyday in the Dinner eating department, My husband loves to eat anything and everything and he is such a picky eater he wont eat anything...for example he will not eat any vegetable that has been cooked/steamed. And he will only eat Peppers(green, red, yellow) Broccoli, Green onions and Red onions Raw THAT'S IT! Nothing else. I try to hid stuff in his food but finds it and picks it out.

So dinner I have to make him what he wants or something I know he will eat which is always something bad wings, pizza, pasta, hamburgers. And he loves to but those Encore dinners and eat them for lunch. BLEAH... so last night was a true test He had a Friend over and they had pizza and fries, While I had my Baked Salmon it was so hard not to take a bite of that gooey cheese but I DIDN'T yeah me.

I'm trying to see if my girlie's will go out with me tonight because I really need to just get away from everything right now and just be with friends and talk. All my life I have been told of things I cant do and now with all this change going on I feel like I can do whatever I want AND I WILL!!

So Far So Good

Well the past few days haven't been the best BUT not because I have been eating bad or anything like that i have been eating really well. But I haven't been able to work out yet Monday after work I had to grocery shop and I got home and unloaded everything made dinner and my lunch and it was 9pm yuck I went to bed then yesterday my husbands mother was in the ER cuz she fell and hit her head but we were called at 4:30am Tuesday Morning to go to the ER then I had to work 9 hours then came home we went to get sushi cuz neither of us wanted to cook, so again no work out went to bed at like 8pm was soo tired but today is a new day and so far nothing stands in my way.

Last night I gave myself some incentive to do better, my friends sister, my friend too, is turning 21 in July we are going to Put in Bay(which is an island near us that is all party at night) for her birthday and we have this awesome hotel with a swim up bar and stuff!!! soooo last night I bought an outfit for one of our nights out that doesn't quite fit now normally I wear and XL in skirts and tops well I bought these in a L. I didn't want to waste money if I bought a small or medium and not get small enough because even when I was 150lbs-165lbs I was still in a L size so I didn't want to further disappoint myself. I can get them on but they are to tight and the belt on the skirt barley buckles soooo I think it is a small enough and yet big enough goal.

I want to lose weight the right way and not drop all 50lbs in 6 months(although it could be possible) but I want to be able to maintain this change in life and not set myself up for failure. But here is a picture of the outfit I bought sooo cute!!!! Sorry its a bit blurry but you get the idea.

For real this time I swear!!

Well as I posted last time I was supposes to start my cleanse I was so pumped and excited wellllll...my special time of the month had to stop by and push me into a further downward spiral.

First of all I have a disorder called Dysmenorrhea, I'll give you the description my doctor gave me when I was 14 years old and diagnosed with it . Basically she said the When the cycle happens it releases something that causes pressure to build on the outside of my uterus instead of inside which causes severe pain and nausea and headaches etc etc. Now I have been living with this since I was 14 years old so about 9 years and they put me on birth control at 14 to reduce the pain(which Helps but not completely) but... I also get massive cravings I feel like a dog that is drooling all over the floor because they smell something they want. So I ended up getting Chinese food, subway and wings throughout the whole weekend to satisfy the cravings.

Last night I was curious what my weight was and I know it was at night and I would get my true weight but I'm glad I did it because the number was way higher then I was thinking and It scared me. I'm so close to 200lbs I wanted to cry so, It is on now and I MEAN IT THIS TIME!!! I cant be that high in weight I just cant!!

So today is halfway over and I'm doing GREATTTT!!!!!!! I had my shake for breakfast and my cucumber's for a snack and my shake for lunch and another snack in a few hours!! I plan to go home and go grocery shopping with my hubby and then go home work out for 1 hour!! Doing my 30 day shred level one video which is 20 min and walking(well speed walking) on the treadmill for 45 mins. I cant do this anymore. My jeans don't fit I feel sick all the time. I know I said this before but that number really scares me and I want to be like my new Idol *Bitch Cakes* she is a real inspiration to me and also I want to know I can do it too and that it is possible.

I get into these funks where I think that I will just always be this way and No matter how hard I try nothing works. Well I realized yesterday that I never tried as hard as I could and I always gave up but not this time 1000% effort!

My Jump Start

Well I finally got all the things I needed to start my cleanse. I know your probably thinking oh no a cleanse those are soo bad for you blah blah blah...Well this one isn't I should even call it a cleanse, but basically it rids your body of all the toxins built up from all the processed foods and all the fats and jump starts your metabolism. The regiment consists of eating tons of food and drinking shakes and taking some pills.

Basically This is what my day will consists of for food:
Week 1

Breakfast:
           Protein shake mango smoothie
                    -1 Scoop Whey Protein
                    -2 Scoops SP Complete ( part of the cleanse )
                    -4oz water and fruit puree mix
                    -1/2c. Ice
           7 Cleanse pills(part of cleanse)
           3 Gastro Fiber pills(part of cleanse)

Snack:
           1c. Cucumber Salad
                    -1c. cukes and onions 1/2tsp oil and vinegar
           1c. Steamed veggies

Lunch:
            Protein shake mango smoothie
                    -1 Scoop Whey Protein
                    -2 Scoops SP Complete ( part of the cleanse )
                    -4oz water and fruit puree mix
                    -1/2c. Ice

          7 Cleanse pills(part of cleanse)
           3 Gastro Fiber pills(part of cleanse)

Snack:
           1/2c. Brown rice
           Salad with oil and vinegar dressing (mind your serving size)


Dinner:  
               1/2c. Brown rice
               1c. Steamed veggies

Dessert:

Now this isn't a starve yourself cleanse and this isn't a in the bathroom all day cleanse either. Its all whole food supplements and veggies all good for you and you will feel great I did one in August and lost 20 libs in 3 weeks which is awesome but I got a shoulder injury from working out and the doc. told me not to work out for two weeks well that started a snowball and now I'm back to where I started.
